Tasting Room + Restaurant FAQs

What are the people asking?
  • We love our four legged friends, but due to our onsite restaurant we're unable to have dogs (or other animals - don't ask) inside.

    Service dogs are allowed.

  • Reservations are always reccommended - what, even on a Monday? Yes, even on a Monday.

There are limited dining options in Coonawarra and increasing visitor numbers, so to avoid missing out, we always suggest making a reservation.

  • Our wine tastings are charged per person - this allows us to offer a premium tasting experience.

  • Kids are always welcome at Ottelia. Please make sure to include the kids in the number of people attending.

If you're bringing a pram, we'd love to know. We're only a small space and not every table has room for a pram. Please let us know in advance so we can place you at a table with the right space.

Highchairs are available, but we only have two. To avoid missing out, please advise us at the time of booking if you would like a highchair.

  • We are proud to cater to many different allergies and dietary requirements. Please make us aware of any at the time of booking.

Every effort is made to avoid allergens; however all dishes are prepared within the same environment and we cannot guarantee they are allergen free.

  • Yes.

All groups of 8+ are required to dine from one of our set menus.

We're able to cater to allergies, dietary requirements and likes/dislikes - all with notice please.

Please use our group booking form for group reservation requests.

  • No, we don't.

We are next door to the Coonawarra park though, which is a great spot for a takeaway pizza and glass of Ottelia wine.

  • Of course - can we have a slice? Just kidding!

If you'd like to bring a cake, we charge a cakeage fee per person.

Otherwise, we're happy to pop a candle in one of our desserts. Don't ask us to sing though, it's better for everyone that way.
